This was posted to the business page of Go Dream Remodeling, but was also shared on my page. In the few minutes since I left my review, their business page has disappeared. I have been waiting to write a review in hopes that our issues with this horrible business would be resolved. Unfortunately, it seems they have no intention of doing so. We hired Go Dream Remodeling in July of 2022. we paid a deposit of $2,776.38 on July 29th 2022. Angelo came out to do final measurements, where he told my husband that our project would be completed by October 2023. by the end of October, we had heard nothing. I sent a message in the portal asking for an update. I received a phone call explaining that since hurricane Ian, they were shorthanded, but would definitely get to us. December rolled around where I received another call letting me know that we would be scheduled shortly. we continued to wait, send messages and called for updates. July of 2023 we sent another message to inform Go Dream that we no longer want to move forward after waiting a year, and only receiving excuses. At that point, we finally received a phone call from Angelo himself. We explained again that we were not interested in moving forward. Angelo then proceeded to send workers to our home, unannounced, to pour concrete to start our extension. After a long conversation, we repeated that we would not be moving forward and wanted to be reimbursed our deposit. Angelo took full responsibility for the entire situation and told us that he let us down and would absolutely reimburse us if that's what we wanted. He told us he was not expecting to make $1.5 million and really underestimated how quickly his business would take off. He then speaks to my husband and tells him that he would reimburse us, but needed 30 days to raise the funds. My husband agreed, as long as he would email us an agreement stating that we would be reimbursed within the 30 days, to which Angelo agreed. We never received an email. We reached out multiple times during the 30 days where we never received an email or the funds. As another 30 days passed with no email, money, and many unanswered messages and calls, I reached out again September 7th. I informed him that I would be leaving a negative review, pursuing legal action, and contacting a local news station. Angelo acted as if he had been responding to us when he hadn't. He begged me not to do these things, that he has two children and I would be taking food from their mouths. He even went as far as sending me a screen recording of him checking his bank account to show me that he had no money to pay me. After A LOT of back and forth messages, I gave him extra time to pay. September 19th, he tells us that he would be reimbursing us that week, that jobs had been completed and he was just waiting for the payments to clear. We have still received nothing! At this point, I filed and complaint with the BBB. He failed to respond to that. I commented on another review where they responded to my comment, again accepting fault and saying the would like to come to a fair agreement. I have also filed a demand letter that was sent by certified mail. It was delivered October 16 to the desk and was signed by someone at the desk. Today, I received the letter in the mail marked return to sender. They signed for it, then sent it back... There has been no attempt by Go Dream Remodeling to correct the situation. I am not the only person this has happened to, and I'm sure I will not be the last. I can not sit back and let this continue to happen to innocent people that are spending their hard earned money to better their homes, just to have someone steal it. Hear me when I say, I am not done! I will not stop! You will have to face what you have done! You should be ashamed of yourself!
